Spotlight on the Graduates……..
Joining us on Thursday were Michael from Growing Talent 13 – employed early by Harrow Green, Kieron from Growing Talent 8 – employed early by Mitie and just promoted to Publications Fulfilment Specialist & Debbie who applied to Growing Talent 12 and went into direct employment with Portico. All gave an insightful, real, view of both Growing Talent and their employment experience in their current roles.
This is great preparation and opportunity for the Associates to ask whatever questions they want to.
Also covered today were some techniques on managing pressure and nerves including regular breathing exercises, visualisations, a stress bucket analysis as well as wider techniques such as music, dancing, writing, singing and so on.
A discussion on cv compilation ensure the preparation techniques were known to enable uptodate, quick preparation of cvs for future use. Whilst cvs are not required as part of Growing Talent, they are a useful tool to empower our view of ourselves and essential in applying for future roles.
A final run through of the judging process and format of the day took place before the Associates left for home.
