Control what you can!

With the continuing heatwave, curtains and blinds were fully drawn in the office to reduce the pressure on the air con system. This created an oppressive environment to work in.

Unable to control the weather or the air con system – we focused on what we could control…… ourselves and stepped outside to work in the shade!

We worked more efficiently, collaboratively and quicker we followed the finance workshop up with a wellbeing window by sketching a piece of the London skyline in front of us. When we compared sketches, Haarajah and Manny had both selected the Tower of London whilst Luiz did the walkie talkie building!

Examining the old and new buildings then sparked questions about how they were constructed in an era of no power tools, how modern glass buildings keep smear free and so on. This built stronger connections, fun and distracted our minds from work.
