I devised Growing Talent over 10 years ago to meet the needs of employers to find the hidden talent amongst their communities and for unemployed people who wanted a job but lacked the confidence to secure a role using traditional recruitment methods.

How do you showcase your skills, experience and potential when you haven’t worked in a long time ? When you carry labels that others judge you on – which you quickly believe. You don’t see the transferable skills you have so how can you convince an employer you are right for them?

Maybe life stopped you getting the qualifications and experience you need and above all else, you feel invisible and numb – unable to see how to move forward to transform your life.

I was in a similar position in another lifetime. Which is why I wrote Growing Talent’s predecessor – The Real Apprentice which ran from 2004 to 2013 an employability programme which won multiple awards including the best of Europe.
