24th Employer Speed Dating!
What a long way we’ve come since starting Growing Talent in early 2014. 157 people with various barriers to securing a permanent job the traditional route, have completed Growing Talent and gone into permanent employment.
Lives have literally been changed – their words, not mine.
So 15 October saw the 24th Employer Speed Dating – 1st stage selection of Growing Talent – take place. With a diverse talent pool to select from, employers drew-up their shortlists for their second and final stage selection meetings on their sites to discuss their roles in detail.
The coming days will reveal the Growing Talent 24 Associates!
Above are Imran and Jamie from Red Personnel. Imran was on the 17th programme of Growing Talent with no knowledge of recruitment. Following training with Jamie and his colleague Pedro at sister company Pertemps, Imran is now one of the top billers within the whole company! A fantastic journey and brilliant role model for those following Imran on to Growing Talent.
Pedro from Pertemps. Along with Jamie above, Pedro has been involved in and supported Growing Talent since the start.
Kate from Firmdale Hotels brought along some goodies including love hearts and logo’d pencils to enhance Firmdale’s brochures brining the brand to life.
Sandra & Yohann return from Park Plaza Hotel at Westminster to see if they can identify some new talent to join their team.
Lina and Michael from ISS listening intently to some applicants sharing their experiences so far and their hopes for the future.
1st timers – Debbie & Harry from Churchill Services joined us. Although some of their colleagues have attended previously, Debbie and Harry weren’t initially 100% of how it worked. They soon got to grips with our approach and both said they thoroughly enjoyed it!
A big thank you to Anna, Ann-Marie & Annette leads from JobCentre Plus who support Growing Talent and attended the event along with Shennell – Growing Talent Ambassador – who always supports and encourages those following her where she can.
The room was buzzing with laughter and interaction. Shortlisted meetings are underway. Check back to meet the new Growing Talent Associates – the last for 2019!
