Time for change for some…..

What an intense period leading up to the starting block tomorrow morning of Growing Talent’s 32nd Employer Speed Dating style event – our first stage selection process.

Over 100 interested applicants originally showed interest in learning more about this unique transition into work which ripped up the traditional recruitment tools of cv, formal interview etc

Over 60 joined the virtual information session to find out the detail of Growing Talent and the employers taking part this time.

Over 30 requested the registration form.

21 completed and returned their forms before the deadline and go forward to our event tomorrow morning.

It’s the first step in what will be an awesome journey of empowerment for those selected by employers to take part and for the employers’ businesses too.

Time to uncover some of the #hidden talent within out communities…

A big thank you to our employers taking part this time round:

A variety of employers brings a variety of roles! Social housing renewal/refit, building repair and maintenance, corporate housekeeping, hospitality, executive concierge, security, systems apprentice, outbound co-ordinator.

Of course, employers always have other opportunities they may bring to the table.

This could be a very productive ‘fishing trip’ for both employer and applicant!

Thanks also to David, Anna and their respective teams @JCPinSthLondon#support their continued support of unemployed people over the 9 years Growing Talent has run is beyond expectations as Growing Talent is not a Government programme.

This is the start of what I know will be a life changing journey for some people.
