Jane – still smiling six weeks in!
Today saw my last site visit to Jane working with BaxterStorey at one of their prestigious accounts in Hammersmith. Jane – on the right of the picture above with her manager Sarah – is still smiling, enthused to learn and loving the world of corporate catering.
Unfortunately, my total lack of direction saw me take the wrong exit at Hammersmith tube, then read the street maps wrong before finally asking a lovely security man who laughed. ‘Look up and you’ll see the building’. The building is unique and stands out a mile. Unfortunately, I hadn’t looked up! Lesson now learnt!
First I met with Sarah who has worked with BaxterStorey for over four years now. She joined on a graduate programme and worked her way up to now managing accounts! Sarah gave excellent feedback on Jane’s performance and support of the team. We had a little photo shoot:
Sarah and Jane making sure the display at the Juice Bar was just right!
Now set up, the display is ready for the lunchtime rush!
Next I had a conversation with Jane. She spoke about the team, her ideas and plans with such confidence – great to see. Sarah and the team have been hugely supportive. Jana, one of BaxterStorey’s Baristas, recently won an award at the UK championships. Jane is pushing to learn from her! She already has her five year plan for her career with BaxterStorey. Watch out Greg – someone could be chasing at your heels in a few years time!
Jane is a great example of how an open mind, flexible outlook and tenacious attitude to succeed will get you where you want to be……
